[2 days late]
Today is an important day for all fans of the Metroid universe! There is 30 years ago, the first metroid game was released.
I'm so proud to wear this costume today. I love this character, Samus Aran is for me an inspirational, a muse. Super Metroid was the first game I've played... I was a child, I was 5 years old and it was really complicated for me but, I already felt in love with this bounty hunter and the ambiance. The first encounter with Ridley is engraved in my soul forever!
Since I was 11 years old, I dreamed to have a Varia Suit. I played to the first Metroid Prime and it still the best game I ever played. At the time, if someone had told me that I will have this costume, I would have retorted "Dude... you are mad!" My nickname is Samus, since 16 years now... And I'll keep it for ever. Even if people say "it's a girl, why would you wear a girl costume?" When I was a child, I didn't know it, and I didn't cared about her gender. And now, I'm proud to embody the most strong female character of the videogame (sorry Lara Croft, you're not the first :3) I love Samus as I love Ellen Ripley from Alien - who inspired the creation of Samus. Strong women FTW!
So thank you again all people who helped me on this project, Shenzi - Cosplay, Nomel, Tarrer's costumes and props... and all other! I know I already thank you many times but it's important for me to repeat that again and again!
And of course thank you Socracboum cosplay for the performance on the stage, together, for the 30th anniversary of Metroid! Glad to have made it with you my Poupette.
I'll again wear this costume and I hope to meet many fans of Metroid! I'm looking forward to be in duet with Dragunova Cosplay as Samus Zero Suit, hope to do that one day with Arlek1 Workshop too, and if you have a project of Samus Aran cosplay, or if you have a cosplay, don't hesitate to contact me!
